Lucy Mcmenemy

Lucy is a long-serving member of Hackney Council’s Culture team.  She has over 20 years experience working with the borough’s cultural sector and in engaging its diverse communities, often in the public realm. The common themes running through her work are inclusion and building a shared sense of ownership of Hackney’s extraordinary cultural landscape. Key projects include the Hackney Carnival, the Hackney Circle – a cultural programme for older residents, many co-produced events in public spaces, various cultural grant programmes and, more recently, the Hoxton Hub – a creative health network for Hoxton and Shoreditch, which aims to reduce health inequalities through culture, co-chaired with Hoxton Hall.
